- David Way is a Canadian media executive and executive producer with more than three decades of experience across development, production, commissioning, company leadership, and Canada-U.S. content partnerships.
He served as President and CEO of Great Pacific Media from 2020 to 2026, leading a period of rapid growth and business transformation. During his tenure, the company secured 13 original series green-lights, expanded into the U.S. market, launched a scripted division, podcasts, YouTube and FAST channels, and grew unscripted revenues from $16M to $43M.
Over his 11 years at Great Pacific Media, David led the development and launch of 20 original unscripted series across factual, documentary, lifestyle, crime, and competitive reality, including Deadman's Curse, Timber Titans, Rocky Mountain Wreckers, and Extracted. David served as Executive Producer on Seasons 9 through 15 of Highway Thru Hell, one of the most successful factual television franchises, distributed in 181 countries with two spin-off series.
Prior to Great Pacific Media, David held senior programming and commissioning roles in broadcasting, overseeing original content across multiple genres and helping develop successful series for Canadian and international audiences.
