Biography

Leander Ward was born on October 30, 1971. He is a director and producer, known for The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos (2008), Wild Side (1995) and Prince Valiant (1997).

Son of actress Maureen Swanson and the 4th Earl of Dudley.

Second son of the second marriage of the 4th Earl of Dudley. He became heir presumptive to the 5th Earl of Dudley (his half brother) upon the death of the 4th Earl on 16 November 2013. His father's son by his first marriage has no sons of his own, and his father's first born son by his second marriage is deceased.

Leander is the first cousin of actress Rachel Ward (The Thorn Birds (1983)) and her sister Tracy-Louise Ward.
