Biography

Xianzhai Wang was born in 1900 in Vladivostok, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was an actor, known for Burning of the Red Lotus Temple (1928), Haitang Hong (1936) and Shengsi fuqi (1931). He was married to Zhuru Yuan. He died on October 27, 1941 in Shanghai, China.

Of mixed Chinese-Russian ethnicity.

Graduate of Hujiang University in Shanghai.

Was an eye doctor who spent so much time at the movies he at last abandoned medicine to enroll in acting school.

One of China's best-known (and best-loved) character actors of the 1920s and 1930s, Wang specialized in portraying villains.
