Biography

Jonathan Watson is a director and producer known for HBO's megachurch comedy "The Righteous Gemstones," "Vice Principals," and "Preacher," Hulu's time-travel comedy "Future Man," "The Disaster Artist," and the new Netflix comedy series "The Hawk" (2026). His directorial debut, "Arizona," premiered to acclaim at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. He holds dual U.S.-Australian citizenship and resides in Los Angeles, California.
