- He saved Elisabeth Sladen from drowning when an action scene went wrong while making Doctor Who (1963), in the episode: Season 12, Episode 5: Revenge of the Cybermen (19 April 1975).
- Due to his height, he was a stunt double for several tall stars over the years. He was Michael Caine's stunt double on several movies. He was also Jon Pertwee's regular stunt double in Doctor Who (1963), and then doubled for Pertwee's successor, Tom Baker, in numerous episodes.
- He was David Warner's stunt double in The Omen (1976) (Curse Of The Omen).
