Actress Elisabeth Dermot Walsh is a daughter from his third marriage.

He studied law at University College Dublin.

Started as an ASM at Dublin's Gate Theatre.

He was cast in "Dance Hall" (1950) but was dropped after the first couple of scenes as he didn't come across as an overbearing character which was what was wanted. He did a conversation scene with Donald Houston and Natasha Parry grouped together. He was replaced by Bonar Colleno.

In his first film "Bedelia", he had 2 main scenes and told the director that he could only stay for 2 weeks. After the first scene, which was a conversation in the back of a car, he asked when his next scene was to be shot and was told in 4 weeks time. He reminded them that he 'd said at the outset that he would only be available for 2 weeks so they had to get someone else as the chauffeur for the other scene.

He appeared in a short film Infamous Conduct (1966) with Bridget Aemstrong.

In the 1946 film of 'Frankenstein' he had a largish scene as a priest performing a service but it wound up as a small scene and he was only seen in long shot.

When he came to England he did so illegally on the pretext of being a stable boy escorting some race horses. He went to London and saw his agent who got him a part as a chauffeur in a film.

Studiied at RADA but left early to star in BBC'tv;s Unfinished Business.

Educated at West Heath ==Princess Anne's school.
