Henry Wallace(1888-1965)

33rd vice president of the United States, serving during the crucial World War Two period from 1941 to 1945, under President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Starting out in the Republican Party, he drifted away from the right-wing to join the Democrats under FDR. Finally, he was the nominee of the new Progressive Party in the 1948 presidential election.
