Biography

  • Marcy Walker has been married five times. Of her four divorces, three of them were over before she was thirty. Her first marriage was to actor Stephen Ferris, to whom she was briefly married in the early '80s. The blonde actress then married actor Billy Warlock, former Days of Our Lives (1965) star, in 1987. After that marriage crumbled, she found herself in the arms of cameraman Stephan Collins. They had a child together in 1989 and then married a year later. Sadly, however, that marriage even failed, and she was once again single. "I think everybody loves to be in love. But now I've come to the point where I say if I don't know what marriage is, I shouldn't be married," she said in response to her marital record. But even after saying this, Marcy married and divorced Robert Drew Primrose in 1997 and 1999, respectively. In 1999 she married her fifth husband (Doug Smith), to whom she is still married.

Quotes

  • I love my work, but the moment I feel unhappy about this business, I'll leave. My life is too important to me to remain in something that doesn't make me happy. I'm not willing to sell my soul just to be a star.
  • I took the biggest risk you could take. I had a secure job, a good role on a very hot show, but I wanted a change. If you're never willing to fail, you're never really willing to succeed.
  • [About a certain scene on Santa Barbara (1984)] There was this really violent lovemaking scene during the time Cruz (A Martinez) and Eden [Marcy Walker's character on the show] were at odds because of all the Robert Barr stuff. We made love standing up, and Cruz ripped off my clothes. It was a racy, uncomfortable scene. It was more like sex."
