Luggi Waldleitner was born on 1 December 1913 in Kirchseeon, Bavaria, Germany. He was a producer and production manager, known for The Glass Cell (1978), Beyond Silence (1996) and The Mafia Wants Blood (1970). He was married to Angela Schreiber and Ilse Kubaschewski. He died on 16 January 1998 in Innsbruck, Austria.

After getting to know <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0726166/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Leni Riefenstahl</a>&#39;s cinematographer <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0487200/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Guzzi Lantschner</a> during a ski trip, he became his assistant in several projects .

His father was an bank employee, his mother a landlady.

Had two children: Michael, from his wife&#39;s first marriage, and Prisca (born in 1960).

Due to his relations to influential politicians, he was able to support the Munich Film Festival and the Bavarian Film Fund.

One of the most successful German film producers after World War II, founding his production company &quot;Roxy Film&quot; in 1951.
