Victor Vu is a Vietnamese-American film director, screenwriter and producer.
He is best known for the box office hits "Detective Kien: The Headless Horror," "The Last Wife," "Mat Biec (Dreamy Eyes)," "Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass", "Scandal", "Vengeful Heart" and "Blood Letter (Sword of the Assassin)".
His films, "Mat Biec (Dreamy Eyes)" and "Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass" were Vietnam's official entries for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 93rd and 89th Academy Awards. His films have won numerous Golden Lotus Awards, organized by Vietnam's Cinema Department, including Best Director and Best Feature Film for "Scandal (2012)" and Best Director and Best Feature Film for "Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass (2015)". He has also won several Golden Kite Awards (organized by the Vietnamese Cinema Association) for Best Director and Best Feature Film "Blood Letter (Sword of the Assassin) (2012)" and the Critics Award for "Scandal" (2012).
