Dimos Vratsanos(1873-1944)

Dimos Vratsanos was a Greek journalist, screenwriter, director, producer, and film critic who played a formative role in the early development of Greek cinema. Trained in the natural sciences, he combined intellectual rigor with a strong interest in film culture. In 1904 he founded the first Greek cinema newspaper, Eikonografimeni, and later co founded the production company Asty Films, contributing to both film production and critical discourse.
