Yorgo Voyagis is a Greek actor whose career has extended across Greek and international cinema and television. He made his screen debut in Michael Cacoyannis’ Zorba the Greek (1964) and subsequently established himself as a versatile character actor, working in productions from Greece, Italy, France and the United States. His international career includes major television productions such as Franco Zeffirelli’s Jesus of Nazareth (1977), in which he played Joseph, and The Odyssey (1997), where he portrayed Agamemnon. Voyagis has frequently worked in multilingual productions and has appeared alongside internationally recognized performers, demonstrating an ability to move between different national cinemas and genres. His film work has included Roman Polanski’s Frantic (1988) and Guy Ritchie’s Swept Away (2002), while his television credits include appearances in Miami Vice (1984) and China Beach (1988). He has also taken prominent roles in historical and dramatic productions, including Chronicle of the Years of Fire (1975) and Sarâb (1982).
