Andreas Vougioukas: Professional Overview

Andreas Vougioukas was born in Limassol, Cyprus, and raised in Athens, Greece. He graduated with a full scholarship from the Theodosiadis Athens Drama Academy, distinguishing himself as a notable alumnus of the institution.

After beginning his career in the Athenian and Cypriot theater circuits, he transitioned to television, securing the recurring role of "Hectoras" in the acclaimed series Se Fonto Kokkino. He subsequently led the cast as "Aris" in the highly rated, three-season drama 7 Ouranoi Kai sinefa alites, establishing a strong, sustained foothold in regional broadcasting.

Expanding into independent production, Andreas developed and starred as "Paris" in the Greek-Cypriot television series OSA den Xereis, successfully delivering three complete seasons. Concurrently, he produced and acted in the 2018 independent feature The Waiting Room, earning a Jury Award for Best Supporting Actor at the Anatomy Crime and Horror Film Festival.

Following its festival run, The Waiting Room secured a global sales agreement with Summerhill Entertainment. The film achieved widespread digital distribution across North America and Europe, streaming on major TVOD and AVOD platforms including Amazon Video, Tubi, Showtime TV, and Google Play, alongside physical DVD availability.

His subsequent feature, Destiny, operates as an independent Greek-Colombian co-production. Serving as both producer and lead actor, the film follows a cross-cultural narrative between a rising singer and a Colombian dancer navigating their respective ambitions.
