Biography

Carl Voscherau was born on December 24, 1900 in Hamburg, Germany. He was an actor, known for Summertime (1955), The 39 Steps (1959) and Moulin Rouge (1952). He was married to Martha Lohmann. He died on August 24, 1963 in Hamburg, West Germany.

His brother Walter Scherau (nee Voscherau) was also an actor. He has two sons, Henning Voscherau, from 1988 until 1997 first mayor of Hamburg, and Eggert Voscherau, since 2009 Chairman of the Board from the BASF SE.
