Bengt von zur Mühlen was born in 1932 in Dorpat/Tartu, Estonia. He was a producer and director, known for The Yellow Star: The Persecution of the Jews in Europe - 1933-1945 (1981), Battle of Berlin (1973) and Der Nürnberger Prozess (1996). He was married to Irmgard von zur Mühlen. He died on 30 June 2016 in Berlin, Germany.
