Biography

Erika von Thellmann was born on August 31, 1902 in Leutschau, Austria-Hungary [now Levoca, Slovakia]. She was an actress, known for Scheibenschießen (1973), Boy, the Noszty (1938) and Zwölf Herzen für Charly (1949). She was married to Tino Pattiera and Helmuth Römer. She died on October 27, 1988 in Calw, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany.

As a popular star and was able to continue her career during wartime.

The breakthrough in the film business came in the middle of the 30's.

Prolific character actress, the daughter of an infantry officer. On stage from 1919 and subsequently ensemble member of the Deutsche Theater Berlin. In films from 1922, often in comic support or as idiosyncratic or eccentric aunts, mothers-in-law, innkeepers and governesses.

The actress Erika von Thellmann began her forty-year film career already in 1922 with the movie "Das goldene Haar" (1922). One year later followed the silent movie "Der steinerne Reiter" (1923).

Her work for film and later for TV kept undiminished after the war. She impersonated bigger and smaller parts in many entertainment movies of the 50's and 60's.
