Biography

Trude von Molo was born on December 22, 1906 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. She was an actress, known for Der Mann, der den Mord beging (1931), Le sergent X (1932) and Die unsichtbare Front (1933). She was married to Curtis Bernhardt. She died on November 27, 1989 in Paris, France.

Brunette Austrian leading lady of the early 1930's, best known for starring in the 1931 comedy "Der Raub der Mona Lisa". She was the daughter of the writer Walter von Molo. She trained for acting in Berlin. At the end of her brief screen career, she emigrated to Central America, and, subsequently, to the United States.

She was the daughter of writer Walter von Molo and the twin sister of Conrad von Molo.

She was awarded with the Filmband in Gold in 1987 for her outstanding work for the German film.

She emerged as a leading actress of German cinema in the early 1930s, but then retired and emigrated to Latin America.
