Alexander van Dülmen was born on January 1st, 1968 in Munich. He has been working in the film industry for more than 25 years. Besides running A-Company, an independent film licensing company and content provider, he has been involved in international productions such as the high budget feature "Cloud Atlas" directed by Tom Tykwer and the Wachowski siblings, a modern adaption of Flaubert's classic "Madame Bovary" featuring Mia Wasikowska, or Pepe Danquarts "Run, Boy, Run".

In 2015 he founded the film production company Carte Blanche International, together with acclaimed director Stephan Wagner, which is located at Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam.
