  • David Voda is a producer, director and writer, and Manager of Smoky Pictures Entertainment.

    Voda produced and directed the indie feature THE SECRETARY, winner of "Best First Feature" at the 35th annual San Remo International Film Festival. THE SECRETARY premiered at the Angelica Film Center in New York and subsequently played at the Film Forum and various national and international festivals.

    Voda subsequently directed the independent comedy, FAMILY AUDIT, and produced and directed one of the earliest digital features, THE GOOD FIGHT.

    For the new media company PJTV.com, Voda was Producer of over 150 segments of the business and economics show FRONT PAGE.

    Voda is the author of MUST SEE TO APPRECIATE, a collection of humor short stories, and INFLATION PROOF YOUR PORTFOLIO, an investment guide, and has written for numerous publications ranging in tone from the "National Enquirer" to the "New York Times."

    He was a reader for Mike Medavoy's Phoenix Pictures and for PBS's American Playhouse series.

    Son of a steelworker, Voda was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where in high school he began experimenting with writing and photography. His first filmmaking articles were published in the cult magazine "Super-8 Filmaker."
