Biography

A.J. Villiers was born on September 23, 1903 in Melbourne, Australia. He was a cinematographer and writer, known for Windjammer (1930), Windjammer: The Voyage of the Christian Radich (1958) and Around the Horn in a Square Rigger (1933). He died on March 3, 1982 in the UK.

Sailor who commanded a full-rigged ship all round the world, and became a resident of Oxford, England writing several books and making several broadcasts about his sailing life.
