Biography

Farhad Vilkiji is a Persian/Dutch film production designer and film director. EFA member (European Film Academy), Born in 1972. After his graduation at University in1996, He joined the cinema world as a film production designer assistant. In1999 he became an independent Film production designer, art director and costume designer. He has worked on many feature films, and historical series. He was nominated as the best production designer and costume designer for two times, at the 'House of Cinema Film Festival' (2006 and 2008) In 2010 he was chosen the best film production designer and costume designer for the feature film 'Farewell Baghdad'. In 2009 he started to study again in the Werkelijkheid in Amsterdam, while he also continued working as a film director and production designer. Also he is a member of jury in fiction section in 'Scenecs International film festival' since 2012 in The Netherlands and also as selection team of the jury in IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.
