His relationship with wife Michèle Morgan began on the set of Fabiola (1949), when her marriage to first husband William Marshall was already falling to pieces. Similarly, Morgan's relationship to third husband Gérard Oury began on the set of The Mirror Has Two Faces (1958), when her marriage to Vidal was already falling apart.
