Biography

Wilson Viana was born on February 27, 1928 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was an actor, known for El mundo salvaje de Barú (1962), Barú, el hombre de la selva (1962) and 800 Leagues Over the Amazon (1959). He died on May 3, 2003 in Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.

Best known as "Capitão Aza".

Xuxa was a big fan of his series "Capitão Aza" in her childhood. She took the idea of the counting down and the spaceship arrival in her breakthrough show Xou da Xuxa (1988) (and subsequent programs) from "Capitão Aza". The two co-starred in The Tramps and the Wizard of Oróz (1984).
