She has two daughters, Camilla and Cristiana.

Was discovered in the chorus of a revue by Mario Mattoli, who cast her in her debut film role in the 'Guardatele ma non toccatele' (1959).

Her first husband was the Italian businessman Camillo Crociani, who was later implicated in a bribery scandal involving the Lockheed Corporation's s alleged bribery of government officials to induce the purchase of Lockheed planes. After his death in 1980, she married Count Pierluigi Vitalini.

In her youth, she worked as a model in the local boutiques while attending school.

Vessel purchased the oil painting 'Les canots amarrés' by Vincent van Gogh at Sotheby's from Scottish collector Royan Middleton in 1991.
