Sue Vertue was born on 21 September 1960 in Surrey, England, UK. She is a producer and production manager, known for Sherlock (2010), Mr. Bean (1990) and The Vicar of Dibley (1994). She has been married to Steven Moffat since 1998. They have two children.

Daughter of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0895054/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Beryl Vertue</a> and sister of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0895055/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Debbie Vertue</a>.

She started her working life as a production manager in the commercials
world before joining Tiger Television in 1989. She left Tiger Aspect at
the end of 1998 to produce Comic Relief 1999 for the BBC (British
Comedy Awards winner).
