Biography

Henning Venske was born on April 3, 1939 in Stettin, Pomerania, Germany [now Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland]. He is an actor and writer, known for Warum die UFOs unseren Salat klauen (1980), Le Meteor (2005) and Halt die Luft an alter Gauner - Der Stockfisch und das Stinktier (1976). He is married to Hilde. They have three children.

His son Nicholas died in 2006 at the age of 45.

After graduating from high school in 1958, he studied German and history. He abandoned his theater studies to pursue acting training at the Max Reinhardt School in Berlin and with Käthe Braun. His first stage engagement was at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in 1961.
