Biography

Bella Vendramini was born in New Zealand to the parents of acclaimed author Rosie Scott and filmmaker Danny Vendramini, granddaughter of Dick Scott, recipient of the Order of New Zealand, also a writer

At fourteen she played Juliet at La Boite Theatre, Australia, and performed with the La Byte actor's troupe of Brisbane.

Bella has performed in various films, including the title role in the Australian Independent feature film Playing With Piranhas, as well as winning Best Actress at the TAP gallery awards for short film The Philanderers.

In theatre, she has performed in Australia and the USA including Iolathne at The Sydney Opera House, The Taming of The Shrew with Shakespeare By The Sea Troupe and Terrorism at The Marilyn Monroe Theatre.

Bella studied at The University of Newcastle, The Australian College of Theatre and Television, some studies at The National Institute of Dramatic Art and two years at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City.

Bella's memoir Biting The Big Apple, an actor's journey was published in 2009 to critical and commercial acclaim. The sequel has been commissioned by publishing house Hachette for release in early 2011.

She was nominated by Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2010 as the 'Fun and Fearless Woman of the Year' in the writer category.
