- Claudius Veltée was born in 1867 in Austria. He is known for Trilby (1912), Die Glückspuppe (1911) and Hoffmanns Erzählungen (1911).
- Together with his sister, the director Luise Kolm, her husband Anton Kolm and the later husband, the director Jakob Fleck, he founded a filmproduction company. From this company developed later the company "Kunstfilm-Industrie".
