Biography

Nana de Varennes was born on February 21, 1887 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada. She was an actress, known for Les lumières de ma ville (1950), Les brûlés (1959) and Blue Flower (1971). She was married to Roméo Godin. She died on July 1, 1981 in Buckingham, Québec, Canada.

Her husband was an actor and singer known as Roméo de Varennes. She thus became Nana de Varennes.

Two of her daughters Lucienne and Simone de Varennes successively played in 1921 the title role Aurore in the play: Aurore l'enfant martyre by Léon Petitjean and Henri Rollin. Nana de Varennes later played the stepmother (marâtre) in that play.
