János Vanicsek was born on 24 June 1898 in Egeres, Austria-Hungary [now Aghires, Romania]. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Átok vára (1927), A hetedik fátyol (1927) and Mit mondott az Alibaba? (1928). He died on 28 April 1934 in Budapest, Hungary.
