Josip Vandot was born on 15 January 1884 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. He was a writer, known for Kekec (1951), Kekec's Tricks (1968) and Mountain of Fear (1963). He died on 11 July 1944 in Trnjanska Kuta, Croatia.
