Truman Van Dyke was born on 15 November 1897 in Natchez, Mississippi, USA. He was an actor, known for The Red Glove (1919), A Lady's Name (1918) and The Star Reporter (1921). He was married to Renié. He died on 6 May 1984 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

When sound films came about, Van Dyke&#39;s career ended due to his heavy Southern accent. In 1932 he created and managed the Truman Van Dyke Motion Picture Insurance Agency.
