- Alex or Alexander Van Dam was a regular player at the Mercury Theatre, in Auckland, during the 1980's/ early 90's. (It closed in 1992.) He also appeared in several TV projects around that time, as listed here. He worked as a salesman in the 90's and it seems his acting work has greatly reduced.
During his time at the Mercury other notable actors working at the same time were stellar NZ actors like as George Henare, Lee Grant (female), Vicky Houghton, Elizabeth Hawthorne, Ross Girven, Paul Gittins, Michael Hurst, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Nat Lees, Ross Duncan and many more... Directors were Paul Minife and Raymond Hawthorne.
