David H. 'Dutch' Van Dalsem(1940-1992)

Worked as a prison guard at Soledad State Prison (California, USA) in the 1970s. He retired in 1980 because of a stress disability.

[1987, Los Angeles Times interview, commenting on the biker gang look]: "The attitude you see in that look belongs in Vietnam, belongs in a prison yard or in front of a camera, no place in between. When I get through lookin' like that, I go home and change my daughter's diapers, just like everybody else."
