Biography

Jean des Vallières was born in 1895. Jean des was a writer and producer, known for Face au destin (1940), Les filles du Rhône (1938) and L'Irrésistible Catherine (1957). Jean des died in 1970.

The son of a general, Jean de Vallieres served as a fighter pilot in World War I and was awarded the Legion of Honour. A lengthy period spent in Morocco inspired several of his books which deal with the Foreign Legion.
