Early member of the acid-rock band Blue Cheer.

Published the fanzine Search & Destroy whose first issue was financed by beat poet Allen Ginsberg ($100) and City Lights co-owner & poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti ($100).

Worked at the legendary Bay Area bookstore City Lights.
