Roger Vailland was born on 16 October 1907 in Acy-en-Multien, Oise, France. He was a writer and actor, known for The Day and the Hour (1963), Blood and Roses (1960) and Bel Ami (1955). He died on 11 May 1965 in Bourg-en-Bresse, Ain, France.
