Miroslav Vaic was born on 14 September 1946 in Klatovy, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. He was a writer and actor, known for The Vampire Wedding (1993), Láska z pasáze (1985) and Papilio (1987). He was married to Libuse. He died on 24 May 2025 in the Czech Republic.

From 1991 to 1995 he worked as a journalist.

From 1970 to 1975 he studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at FAMU.

From 1965 to 1967 he completed his military service.

Graduated from the Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Plzen.

For sixteen years he was a screenwriter and dramaturge at the Barrandov Film Studios.
