- Anna Vagena is a Greek actress and politician with a long and varied career in theatre, film, and public life. Trained at the Karolos Koun Art Theatre School and the National Theatre of Greece, she appeared in numerous stage productions, including classical and modern works. She gained wide recognition for her leading role in Pantelis Voulgaris film Anna's Engagement (1972), which earned her the Best Actress award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. In 1999, she co founded the Metaxourgeio Theatre in Athens, contributing actively to contemporary Greek theatre as both performer and cultural organizer. Alongside her artistic work, she pursued a political career, serving as a member of parliament representing Larissa.
