Anna Tzelniker was born on 22 August 1922 in Cernauti, Romania. She was an actress, known for Yentl (1983), Shining Through (1992) and The Man Who Cried (2000). She was married to Phil Bernstein. She died on 11 May 2012 in London, England, UK.

Daughter of actor <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0879272/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Meier Tzelniker</a>.

She passed away on the 23rd anniversary of the death of her mother, Brana (2 February 1902-11 May 1989), who had also worked with the Yiddish theatre.

At the time of her death, she was thought to be the last major performer from the Yiddish theatre left in London.
