John Tyke was born on 20 October 1894 in Reedville, Oregon, USA. He was an actor, known for Hell's Oasis (1920) and Circle Canyon (1933). He died on 23 February 1940 in Hollywood, California, USA.
Shot and killed by Blackjack Ward at Cowboy Row (near Columbia Studios). in February 1940. On July 18, 1940, the Los Angeles District Attorney ruled Tyke's killing was in self-defense and moved to dismiss all charges against Ward.
