  • Werner Twardy was born on December 28, 1926 in Oberhausen, Germany. He was a composer, known for Das Paradies der flotten Sünder (1968), The Golden Glove (2019) and Rudi, benimm dich! (1971). He died on January 16, 1977 in Rösrath, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

  • Twardy started his musical career as well-known jazz pianist, working with famous bandleaders such as Charly Tabor, Fred Bunge, Joe Wick and Kurt Edelhagen.
  • With his recording of the title Geisterreiter (= Riders in the Sky/Columbia), composed by Stan Jones, he and his orchestra reached number 21 in the German single charts on May 6, 1961.
