Nico Turoff continued his film career successfully in the sound film era of the 30s and he was often casted for negative characters.

Nico Turoff remained a popular support actor after the war as well and he remained active as actor till to the old age.

The 60s and 70s offered him again many other opportunities to act in movies, normally he impersonated very small roles.

He began a boxing career in the Russian empire but he had to leave his home country because of the October Revolution in 1917. He continued his career as a boxer in Europe and he was active in Spain among other countries.

Because of his impressive appearance he was engaged for numerous movies and he began his film career still in the silent movie era.
