Ruth Turkow(1919-2005)

She was associated with the theater from an early age. After the outbreak of World War II, on September 6, 1939, her mother's apartment and theater were bombed, and she stayed in a shelter for three weeks with her family and a group of friends, including: Adolf Rosner, who proposed to her during the second week of her stay in the bunker. As a dowry, she received a ring from her mother and a can of sardines that she found in the ruins. After leaving the shelter, she and her family lived with friends for some time.
Kaminska soon left Warsaw with a wave of residents and reached Lviv. After the Third Reich's aggression against the Soviet Union, in June 1941 she left for Rivne, and then through Kharkov and Baku to Frunze, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. There she gave birth to a daughter, Erica, whose name was short for Esther Rachel.
