Biography

Peter Turgeon was born on December 25, 1919 in Hinsdale, Illinois, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Airport (1970), American Gigolo (1980) and Dear Heart (1964). He was married to Virginia Wright Richardson. He died on October 6, 2000 in Stony Brook, New York, USA.

On stage from 1940 in 'Life With Father'. His theatrical career was interrupted by wartime service in the U.S.Army Air Corps. Resumed in 1946 with the Broadway revue 'Call Me Mister', followed by 'Inside U.S.A.' with Beatrice Lillie and 'The Beggar's Opera' with Shirley Jones. On Broadway with 'A Thurber Carnival' (1960), 'Send Me No Flowers' (1960-1961) and 'Little Me' (1962-1963), with Sid Caesar. Later involved with the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Centre in Waterford, Connecticut, as writer/director and actor.
