Biography

Tristram Tupper was born on September 11, 1885 in Caroline County, Virginia, USA. He was a writer, known for Lost in the Stratosphere (1934), Girl Overboard (1937) and Klondike Fury (1942). He was married to Clara Tarbell and Marion Ferrell. He died on December 30, 1954 in Miles, Virginia, USA.

Brother-in-law of Gen. George C. Marshall, US Army Chief of Staff during World War II, and later both Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense under President Harry Truman.

Author, lawyer, publisher and retired US Army brigadier general, veteran of both World War I and World War II.

Between the wars he worked as a scenario writer for Fox Films, Republic Pictures and Universal Pictures.

During World War Two he served as US Army public relations officer for the European Theater.
