Christopher Tucker designed the makeup for Andrew Lloyd Webber's mega box musical, "The Phantom of the Opera" for the star of the show when it premiered, actor/singer/writer Michael Crawford. Apparently it took six months to design and perfect the makeup and originally it took 3 hours to put on at first, but they reduced it to a half hour. After Crawford left the show, the makeup was changed to suit the replacement actor.

Transformed Terry Jones into the fantastically obese Mr Creosote in Monty Python's Monty Python's the Meaning of Life (1983).

Specialized in the creation of prosthetic make-up for horror films.

Studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Attended several education establishments including Elizabeth College in Guernsey and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he studied operatic drama/acting singing bass parts.

He was of slim build which did not match the look of his operatic characterisations. To enhance his performances, he began to design and construct his own prosthetics. These were so effective that he started to sell surplus creations to theatrical costumiers.

Son of Leslie Tucker (a solicitor) and Leila (nee Ison) owner of a chain of hair salons.
