Tsancho Tsanchev Dimitrov was born on May 8, 1937 in Zlatitsa, Bulgaria. In 1939 his parents moved to Sofia . In 1957 he graduated from the School of Fine Mechanics and Optics in Sofia with degree "Chamber technique." In 1972 he graduated from the specialty "Cinematographer's mastery" in the Higher Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow . Since 1960 to 1992 he worked in Boyana Film Studios, Sofia , where he was a camera technician (1961-1962), camera assistant (1962-1966), camera operator (1966-1968) and cinematographer (1968-1992). He was a member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers since 1973. He died on October 25, 1999 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
