Biography

Christopher Trumbo was born on September 25, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a writer and assistant director, known for Dark Justice (1991), The Don Is Dead (1973) and Brannigan (1975). He was married to Nancy Escher. He died on January 8, 2011 in Ojai, California, USA.

One of his best-known screenwriting credits was for "Brannigan", starring John Wayne, one of Hollywood's most right-wing actors, who had been among the arch-enemies of his father, Dalton Trumbo, a sometime communist, and had even once said that he was proud of having helped get Trumbo blacklisted.

He was an authority on the Red Scare black-listings of the 1950s. He was 7 when his father, Dalton Trumbo, was subpoenaed by the US House Un-American Activities Committee.
