Robert Tronson was born on May 18, 1924 in Chilmark, Wiltshire, England, UK. He was a director and writer, known for The Avengers (1961), ITV Television Playhouse (1955) and The Guardians (1971). He was married to Nona Richards. He died on November 27, 2008 in London, England, UK.

Hobbies: gardening and rugby.

Prolific television director (from 1954), the son of a naval officer and himself a graduate of the Royal Naval College at Dartmouth. An unsuccessful poet, he turned to directing after World War II, most at home with action subjects, thrillers and espionage.
